This is a full release version? If so, I’m assuming a clean install is the way to go?

Well it is supposed to be able to be installed over 5.1 and some have done it this way without problem. But I’m waiting for more information as the Alwil Software folder would normally change to Avast Software in a clean install and that would effect other such locations were logs/reports are stored.

Release Candidate

Not a candidate, full release version 6.0.1000

Also a new website… pretty nice in my opinion.

I just fell off my chair when I saw Bob’s head on the super-hero body. ;D

I did a clean install and so far so good. I did have a problem getting the registration to work but after a reboot and 2 more tries, it finally went through. I did turn off the web rep toolbar already though. It just takes too much space away in IE8.

The avast web site has been busy so that may also be true of the registration server/s.

It fits nicely on my IE8.
