WinRAR 4.11 (32-bit)

Bugs fixed:

  • WinRAR did not store NTFS “Compressed” attribute, when creating RAR archives.
  • WinRAR crashed in command line mode if @filelist parameter was present and ‘filelist’ did not exist. This bug affected only WinRAR.exe, not RAR.exe.
  • if -x*\somefolder* exclusion mask was specified when archiving and if name of current folder contained ‘somefolder’, WinRAR excluded all files and stopped creating an archive.
  • GUI self-extracting archives did not work in Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE).

Outpost Firewall 7.5.2 released
http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/download.php

Improvements and fixes
http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?10164-Agnitum-Security-Products-Update-Notification&p=199766#post199766

I will be waiting for a while before installing this update as Outpost in the past seems to have another patch update shortly after release to the masses.

This release was a very long time in development, 7 months i think and it was really just to fix all the issues with 7.5.1, iv installed it on my system now and it is a dramatic improvement over the prior version which i never left installed on my system due to the issues it had.

Everything is honky dory with this one ;D

Well they were considering it being a half or whole ordinal update +1.0 or +0.5), more than just a 0.0.1 as it turns out. That to me is a major update and why I tend to wait, seen it too many times with Outpost. I love the product, but their support sucks, not that I have ever had much call for it.

For me 7 months for a 0.0.1 increment is somewhat strange/suspect so I will certainly be watching but not installing for now.

Very true, like many other Russian products, they may look ugly or have lack of support, but they works.

OT: DavidR are you using the latest version of 7.5.2, and is their any good news or bad news (pro or con) of Outpost before I update mind and finally it’s okay to install over the top :-\ :o

Spywareblaster Update

34 new defs.

As I have said in the post you quoted and my earlier one, no I’m not and will be waiting a while before doing so. I generally install over the top with it to retain the configuration/settings or you can export the settings before doing a clean install, then import the previous configuration.
