Microsoft Antispyware update :5699
Sorry, this is actually a new topic.
I’m finding my Internet browsing situation is very
sluggish. ???
I’ve got lots of Spyware and Adware protection as well
as your Avast Antivirus protection I also have Tune Up Utilities.
Maybe it’s my lack of expertise with these products that is
causing my Internet to run so slowly.
I thought having a fairly clean system would speed things up.
Now it takes about seven minutes just for my computer to
boot up properly.
Any suggestions would be fantastic.

Don’t thank me, thank all the good folks at mozilla for their hard work ;D
As with Firefox 1.01, uninstall Thunderbird 1 before installing the new version.
Installing over the old version leaves the old version behind in add/remove and uninstalling the old version then breaks the new instalation.
Can we save the configurations, emails, account settings, etc. before the uninstalling?
How? Is it necessary or the new version won’t overwrite them? If so, in a normal desinstallation, this files are just ‘left behind’?

Unfortunately you still have to completely uninstall TB 1.0 first, i believe there going to incorporate updating/upgrading into TB 1.1 though so we don’t have to do this anymore.
