Unfortunately it is either that or MS Silverlight (alternate to flash) but not widely dispersed or HTML5 media code, but HTML5 still isn’t widely accepted either.

So we are effectively stuck with Flash.

In the last month I have had strange things happening with flash. Browser hanging, submitted crash report to adobe, an empty window that opens for no apparent reason, choppy sound, sound but no video. I hope they are finally getting this worked out.
