1 Critical update has been released for Windows IE 6 and up, download via windows updates.

26Mb and and a reboot required for me.

Interesting, don’t know where the 26MB version comes from, downloaded IE8 for XP SP3 and IE9 for win7 SP1 (both 32bit) and the combined total is a little under 24MB (so not so bad). Wouldn’t like to be on dial-up as I used to be.

Perhaps the 64bit versions are heavier.

This CSU for IE-8 ran 13.5 MB for my 32-bit XP.

Checked my installation of IE 8 for XP SP3 and installation reads 4.9MB ???

This is the update for 64bit IE9 SP1 from microsoft, the installer makes it a Mb larger.

Wow, much heavier for the 64bit update over twice the size of the 32bit versions of the update (XP SP3 update 10.?MB and the win7 SP1 13.?MB).

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (2744842)

Here are all the downloads for each Explorer on each OS:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms12-063

The smallest is IE 7 on Vista Spk 2, 32 bit. 6.6 MB. The biggest is IE 8 on XP Spk 3. 64 bit. 41.8 MB

Time to get this thread back to giving update notifications

PeaZip updated to 4.7.2 http://peazip.sourceforge.net/

This morning I posted here a message about the size of the recent Microsoft update. Now the message seems to have disappeared… Someone removed it? yes no maybe?

It was me, i was cleaning up some of the doubled postings and your post happen to be exactly what DavidR had mentioned prior to your’s so there was really no need to state the same thing twice in a row.

And do you think that it is fair to delete mine and not the ones from DavidR? I’ve been regularly posting update events on this thread, with actual links and details (not just some generic useless “filehippo links”…). I always check the previous pages to prevent double posting (and regularly some other users post the same update events after me, but no one cares…) and you deleted my message, a rare OT that I made once?! Also, leaving there the posts of other people like, for example, DavidR who is not a contributor of this thread (he usually only post comments here)? You have not even bothered to say anything, leave a note or something: just deleted my post.
Thank you very much, man. I’m done here. I’m sure someone of your “elite” will take my place in this thread. bye.

I think your blowing it out of proportion ::slight_smile: It was one post that said “windows xp SP3 10.3 meg”, there was no link supplied in your post so essentually as i already mentioned DavidR had already said that in the post prior to yours so there was no need for a second post after Davids to say the same thing.

@ Tetsuo
Read the comment and you will see why, “your post happen to be exactly what DavidR had mentioned prior to yours so there was really no need to state the same thing twice in a row.”

And you have read all 327 pages to see if I’m a contributor or not, I think not, it is a moot point as everyone who posts in the topic is a contributor.
