It isn’t that much different. The coloring and the tabs are slightly different.
I like it! It has a more modern look.

Or directly from Mozilla https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Strange that the update through the firefox interface only goes to 34.0 not 34.0.5.

I used the download link I provided before posting the link and I got v34.0.5.

edit: Never mind! I didn’t try though the GUI. I prefer to download then install. I don’t like updating through any GUI.

Spywareblaster Update: 12/2/2014

15 new rules for Internet Explorer.

New feature in Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit: Trial version available. This is a new feature. Also many bugs fixed and additional protection features such as DEP hardening included. Suggest uninstalling old version if you already have it and install the new as clean install.

New version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware suggest doing the same thing; don’t bother with updating via the GUI, but uninstall and reboot, then install downloaded latest version.

Why… is there a problem with updating via the UI? my three systems all updated perfectly though the UI.

Opera 26.0 Build 1656.32

I got the same result, David. Even more interesting, as of a minute or so ago Help/About, which auto-checks for updates, reports 34.0 as up to date.

Security programs should be installed as a clean install as they tend to perhaps be more important. Just my preference.
No issue or problems with updating via the UI as far as I know. Only possible issue may be update availability may differ for paid vs. free versions, in that paid versions may be available a little sooner.
