Hai Avast!

I’m a customer of avast. I’m using dial up connection. But for some days i couldn’t take the connection. After that when i took it, avast checked for updates and loaded the file 515-3. The previous file that i had was 515-1. So the file 515-2 was not loaded (i think so, i don’t know if it is so. Anyway when i checked which file was loaded it showed the file 515-3)
Is there any trouble from that. Will i get the protection under 515-2?

I have another question also. After scanning Avast shows that some files are unable to scan. I also tried the thorough scan. Then also it happens. Is there any possibility of viruses in such files?How to rectify it?

Many files are not scanned because they are in use. You must program a Task for scanning-at-reboot. Remember to disable the System Restore option by Windows (if you are using WinXP).
Concerning the downloaded definitions: right click on blueball and check “Visualize Registry” (I translate from Italian menu, sorry!).

Don’t worry, the updates are incremental and smart: if you ‘lose’ one update, the system will get ‘all’ the missed updates until now.
You’re always updated to the most recent version 8)

Most probably these files are password protected (SpyBot, Ad-aware, etc.). If you have doubts, you can post the name and the path of these files 8)
