Updating Avast Free

I renewed my yearly Avast Free in June, approximately three weeks ago. I just received an email from Avast this evening stating the following:

“We are sorry for disturbing you with avast! pop-up messages, but we want to be sure you’re aware that your avast! antivirus license expires in 48 hours.”

“To disable these screens, just re-register your software or upgrade:”

I checked my “current status” on Avast and I see that just below the expiration date it states “not connected with any Avast account”…and to the right, there is the option to “connect”.

My question is, can I just disregard this email…as my expiration date runs through 6/22/2013 so apparently my renewal went through the system okay? I appreciate your assistance and recommendation.

What does your Avast! registration say ?

There is NOTHING stated about my registration. As I mentioned in my original post, it states the following: “not connected with any Avast account”…and to the right, there is the option to “connect”. Thanks for any further assistance.

It is free but you still have to register. If you did so, you should have a windows like the one in the image. if not, follow through with the registration of your free Avast!.

You do not need to have an Avast! account to register your Avast! free. Also if you see your days remaining in

Open Avast! > Maintenance > Registration

and it is like mine image you can disregard the e-mail.
