Updating Free BitDefender...

Does anybody else is experiencing long delays on updating BitDefender free version?
It’s becoming extremely ridiculous… day after day…
Version 7 has a good updater, no trouble…

Hi Tech, no problems here. In fact I have BD 8 set to auto update and default every 3 hour checks.

hi tech…i took off bitdefender 8 free edition because it too much RAM…i didn’t have that problem you were referring too…only thing i can think of is your firewall could be blocking the updater??? :

It seems obvious… but I disable the firewall…
Then an update start… corrupted… cannot manage anymore…
Something really strange in my machine…

I just acquired an older pc with Wins 98 2nd Edit. Is there a particular version of BitDefender which would work better on that OS than any of them?
