I would be grateful for some advise on updating the installation packages folder located in the Alwil Software\Management Tools\InstPkgs folder. I wish to create updated MSI packages for version 1061. Is this done through Add/Remove programs Update?
Hi,
I don’t find what is your question subject at your statement :
Is this done through Add/Remove programs Update?
If you would like to do the installation with MSI packages, you can’t do the push installation but should use thumbdrive. Then you can remove existing avast! NetClient through ADNM, with create a new rule at On-Demand windows.
Or if you want to push update, you should do push update but normally from NetClient/Server they will randomly scanning for the new version or VPS update through the AMS of avast!.
cheers,
if your ADNM program isnt up to date then you can use the ADD/REMOVE programs
your mirror (from where the msi package is created) should be up to date, so when you start to task to deploy into MSI then it should have the newest version of the engine
Correct, Add/Remove programs will let you update ADNM. But if you want to create a new .msi you need to create an installation package and a deployment task. If your clients are already managed, you can simply push out the new program update. There is no need to reinstall the managed client with a new .msi installer file.
