When i try to update my avast, i always get this message 'connection terminated…retrying… When i check my avast log viewer, under warning it says… Application 1004… Description Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x000004C7, dwRes is 000004C7.
Can u please help me what is wrong with my avast? Your help will be much appreciated… Thank You…
Btw, my comp does not use any firewall…

4.1? Avast 4.5 final was released yesterday. Didn’t you get the update?
I have tried to do program update… But they said Connection terminated,retrying… I have tried to reinstall the avast, but the problem still persists…
- Uninstall Avast using the uninstall util from Alwil’s website.
- Reboot
- Reinstall Avast (downloaded from the website)
Let’s see if that solves it.
If you don’t have a hardware router/firewall then your computer is vulnerable, especially since you have broadband and are connected to the internet 24/7 (or at least when your PC is on).
I have just downlaoded and reinstalled avast version 4.5 in my comp… But when i try to downlaod the update, the problem still persist…(connection terminated, retrying…)
