Updating problem

Well… If some of You find this as a repeating subject please let me know, but I had to ask.

I have changed my internet provider recently from trusted LAN to cable DSL. My Avast 4.7 Home used to update AVS virus database at least 1 time a day, but now ,when my IP, MAC adress ( new ) has been changed Avast despite it’s flawlessly activity and work do not update virus base. When I try to do it manually it downloads 0,03 or 0,9 KB of stuff and says it’s finished. I presume it’s not what I need. Virus definitions seemed to be larger than this… Is there any problem with my new IP and internet connection? Should I registry one more time on Avast website? Please help. I’m confused and want to resolve this as soon as possible

avast uses incremental update so they tend to be small but not that small.

Are yo getting any errors with the auto update, if so what is the text ?
What version of the VPS do you have (current version 0628-5) ?

Changing ISP shouldn’t make any difference unless the new one insists you use a proxy ?
Check the Program Settings, Updating (Connections) and ensure it is set to ‘My computer is permanently connected to the internet.’

Current AVS is 0629-0 . No proxy in here.
thanks for answering.
Well that’s kinda magic -I began to be seriously worried about that, but - as I turned my machine on today- i’ve received full and real update automatically, at last. It has fixed itself somehow . I’m glad. Thanks.
