Hi!
I have a network with a proxy server in it.
When i configured it manually, the program and the definitions updates with no problem.
But when i configure the program with de AUTO DETECT (DETECT FROM INTERNET EXPLORER) the program cant update and it says that cant connect to the server (unknown:80).
Anyone knows a workaround for this?
My idea is to avoid reconfigure the machines.

If i configure with direct conection, it doesn’t work, because i have a proxy.
The problem is that the automatic config option dont detect de ie settings (chrome, firefox and other programs works perfect this way).

To not config every machine again.
Unfortunately if you use a proxy you will have to manually configure them. Otherwise as you found the auto update check will fail as it a) doesn’t know you are using a proxy and b) doesn’t have the log-on details user name and password if required.
If there is no proxy log-on needed then in theory if you have IE set to use that proxy, then avast may be able to get the proxy details from there. But with some versions of IE this seems to be a problem.
Presumably you have set your browsers to use the proxy port already ?
Well, there’s no other option or I don’t understand your question.
