upgrade avast to v6 and accessibility of sandbox

I am a blind screenreader user, currently using Avast 5.1.889. There is a message pop up that ask me to upgrade but did not give version number.

  1. is the version v5 or v6?

  2. If it is v6, is the sandbox accessible to blind screenreader users? I.e.: Can screenreader read inside sandbox environment? [Adobe reader sandbox is not accessible and has option to turn it off]

  3. If avast sandbox is not accessible, how can I turn it off or not install it during installation process?

The latest avast version is 6.0.1125.
Not sure if the screenreader works inside sandbox but it is possible to turn it off through additional protection / auto sandbox / settings and untick auto sandbox.

If you are using jaws for windows version 12 you can read sandbox window without problems. If you are using NVDA screen reader NVDA CAN NOT READ SANDBOX window AT ALL.

I had now tested this issue with sandbox test tool and jaws is working in sandbox without problems. :slight_smile:

thank you very much for your info. i don’t have jaws 12 , only jaws 10 . guess i have to disable sandbox. sigh

Maybe you should ferst test if jaws 10 works with sandbox. Here is a link to sandbox test tool topic where you kan download the test tool.
