Upgrade question - version 5 to version 6

Hi,

If I was to purchase a license for Avast Internet Security V5, will I be able to upgarde to the V6 version of the program once it is released or will I need to buy a new license?

If your license is still valid when v6 is released, then you don’t need to buy a new license.

Whilst RZPogi is likely to be correct, there is a little more to it than that.

Provided that your license is still in date (not expired) you can upgrade to the new program version (unlike many other AV companies where a new version requires a new license).

So avast6 is likely to have been released well before your AIS licence expired, even if it were only a 1 year license. So you should have no fear about upgrades even if you choose a longer license term.
