Upgraded to Pro, still have Avast signature on outbound e-mails

I have used Avast for several years and always figured that the “This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.” advertising tag on the bottoms of my e-mails was just part of the price of using the free version. When I upgraded to pro a couple months back, I thought that would stop. When it didn’t I figured it must be something I have to switch off. But I can’t find anything about it in the Avast UI.

Does anyone know if there is a way to switch that off? It’s not a critical issue, but just seems kind of tacky to continue to impose it on the customers who pay for the product and might not appreciate it.

Hello,
go to Avast’s settings → Active protection → Mail shield → Customize → Behavior.

Milos

Thank you Michael and Milos. I appreciate your quick replies and good explanations.

No problems. I can only assume it worked?

If not, let me know and I shall investigate more for you :-).

Worked like a charm. Thanks.
