I got an mssg about special deal to upgrade to the pro version and as I like the program and have been using the home “free” version I felt it was worth paying for it. Anyway do I need to uninstall my Home Free version or just close the free version and run the Pro version I just downloaded and then put in my new key to upgrade?

Hi bratboy, welcome to the forum 
You just have to copy and paste the Pro licence key into your Avast! Home and it will download the needed files and do the upgrade to Avast! Pro for you. It can’t be easier

oh gee that is easy. Wish they had mentioned that in the email as it would of saved me downloading a whole new file. Fortunatly Im not on a inet plan that charges per download but still would of been nice to know. Oh well now I have a backup download if I do a reinstall of my OS soon hehe. ;D
