Upgrading from Pro to Internet Security

I just paid $40 for my renewal+upgrade from Pro to IS. It is making me download an installer. Do I completely uninstall Pro first?

You shouldn’t need to if you have entered the new license file, I believe it should convert the Pro version to the AIS version. But it would do this as if it were an update.

I did a pointless installation repair and it updated on the devices page. I guess that is all it took. Anyways. Time to figure out how to get my second license onto my spare computer and what to do with my third license.

It usually takes a little time before the change is reflected in the my.avast.com page as there is a setting as to how frequently the account is updated on the status of your devices.

You copy the license.avastlic file to the second computer and apply it in the same way as you did for the upgrade from Pro to AIS.

The third license is available for use in the same way, but be aware the time starts ticking from purchase not from when you first apply the license to an installation.
