Upgrading to Windows 10 and Avast R3 10.3.2225

Hi all

Since Tomorrow in US is Windows 10 upgrade day, should I remove Avast, and run with Defender til after the upgrade, or proceed with Upgrade while running avast?

My understanding is that windows 10 will upgrade you to the latest version unless you already have it

Oh ok, will get Avast updated shortly on this System, and finish rest of file backups, and think good to go

You can manually update Avast to the new version

Ok will uninstall prior to upgrading to 10, and then installing latest version after upgrade complete, Not sure if doing clean install after upgrade completes or not as yet, PC is stable right now, last clean install of 8.1 was last month, so might just do the upgrade, keeping nothing, and be all set

I had to remove AIS as Windows 10 failed to upgrade. I am running Windows 10 RTM now as a member of the insiders group.

Hi,

you can update to Windows 10 with Avast running. We were testing this pretty lot and it’s quite smooth process. Just make sure you have the latest version of Avast.
