A computer at home opened the UPS virus, and now IE and Firefox can’t open any websites, except one I use for email that is a secure one, does that make sense? I run the boot scans, delete the found viruses and malw, and still problem persists.
are you able to download and scan with this ?
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
it is important that you run update before you scan so you have the latest database
click on the remove selected button to quarantine anything found
if anything is found you may post the scan log here
I ran the updated Malwarebytes, it found some problems, I deleted them, and the problem persists. When trying to open websites it gives me a connection error, again thew only one that will open is a secure email site from work.
can you post the scan log
The log is on my home computer with the problem, and I am posting these from work since I can’t access this webpage from home. Will post that tomorrow I guess, thanks.
you can also try running these
Dr.Web CureIt http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/?lng=en
How Do I Use Dr.Web CureIt!? http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/how_it_works/?lng=en
Norman Malware Cleaner http://www.norman.com/support/support_tools/58732/en
download and save to desktop and run from there. They are not installed so when done you can drag them to the recycle bin
Thanks for the suggestions Pondus I’ll try these tonight and report back tomorrow.
