Hello, I’m really sorry to bother but I used this forum to clean my computer of malware in the past. I remember i had to go through some logs and post screen shots but i completely forget the process of what to do. Please help me out here because I have an exam this upcoming wednesday and i need to take notes with this computer without the virus interfering.
Symptoms: My internet browser keeps on closing by itself and when i try to visit other sites, this completely different site pops up saying i have a virus and that i need to clean my computer. Please help me out here thank you!
Check this - Go to this topic http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 for information on Logs to assist in cleaning malware. Use the information about getting and using the tools and attach the logs here, not in the LOGS topic.
Note: It is possible if this is occurring when you land on a site, it is more likely that is a deception for you to visit another link to run a scan and is more likely a hoax to get you properly infected - so don’t do that, continue with the scans and attach the logs.
- This needs further analysis by a malware removal specialist.
Here are the logs. Thank you so much for the help i appreciate it. Please let me know if there is anything else that you need for me to do.
There may be a little delay due to time zones before one of the malware specialists can analyse your logs. Most are on the Central European Time zone (23:37pm there).

The problem does not seem to be fixed and malwarebytes keeps notifying me about how a malicious website has been blocked.
Sorry, i do not know which one was the note that popped up after the reboot.

The problem does not seem to be fixed and malwarebytes keeps notifying me about how a malicious website has been blocked.Post a screenshot of malwarebytes popup message
It’s not just this message. There are other sites that pop up on the message also. Also, when i visit other websites or try to do something on the browser, it sometimes diverts the webpage to some random page with a bunch of ads. There are also other pop-up messages that pop up and keep popping up whenever i try to exit them out.
Pop ups from Malwarebytes can be related to this https://blog.malwarebytes.org/online-security/2013/05/oh-the-sites-you-will-never-see/

Chrome → Let’s do a total reset of Chrome by uninstalling and re-installing it.
Please go to START (Windows Orb) >> Control Panel >> Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features and remove the following (if listed):
Google Chrome
To do so, left clicking on the name once and then click Uninstall/Change at the bar above the list window.
Follow the prompts of the uninstaller BUT please read carefully any questions it asks before answering; some uninstallers will try and deceive you into keeping the software.
64 bit: Reboot your machine and then go to here and download a fresh installer for Chrome.
Double click on the downloaded file to install the latest version of Chrome. Your settings and extensions should be added automatically; please let me know if there are any errors with this.
redownloading chrome seems to have fixed all the pop-ups and malware bytes does not pop up anymore. Thank you so much! so my computer is now malware free?
