URGENT! PROBLEM WITH AVAST!

Ciao a tutti,

Well… but English please.

i have entered a web site and avast said me that it found a virus.
So it invited me to click to “close connection” and i did but then avast allowed me to enter that site.
Why???
I clicked to the buttom “close connection” but after doing it,avast didn’t close the page but allowed me to visit it.
If you want to make a test i give you the link of page:
hXXP://www.myshow.it/category/news/

I hope in your answers.
thanks

If you use firefox, it won’t even allow access to that site for avast to alert, see image.

The abort connection, does what it should do and that is to drop what it considers to be the infected item, that could be an image file exploit or another element, flash file, etc. (you didn’t say what the malware name given by avast was). If that infected item isn’t the main page, that would still be displayed, but not the infected element/file.

Please ‘modify’ your post change the URL from http to hXXp or www to wXw, to break the link and avoid accidental exposure to suspect sites, thanks.

i have modified.
it says that is infected “frame.html”.
But after that i have clicked on “abort connection” i have entered the page.
Why?
I thought that avast closed immediately the page!

In most cases that is correct if the infection is a part of that page, the whole html page would be dropped, so you see nothing. If it isn’t essentially a part of that page then no it won’t get dropped.

The problem is, as I said I can’t reach that page using firefox to even investigate and there is absolutely no way I will use IE to investigate potentially malicious sites.

As DavidR says.
Below is a picture of the alert that Firefox displays.
Either the site habitually hosts malware, or has been exploited often enough to be reported. Avast has almost certainly blocked the malicious element. The sites operator should be advised, such exploits usually happen because the site is using out of date or poorly coded software.

I tried to visit the website through FF & IE.
FF blocked it & IE let me in.
No warning from Avast in either case.
Again went to the link through FF & IE , same result & no popup from Avast.
Did you increase Webshields default protection settings?
How did u get the popup or notice from Avast?

This page seems to be
