Is there a correct license file entered?

Yes, the last for rc1a is valid up to 15 Sep 2004

I think there’s a problem with sa password…

What is the default sa password when I install ADNM Console with MSDE?

The password is random generated. Why? Do you think it has changed?

Please try using the version with enhanced logging, as described here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=10;action=display;threadid=6521;start=msg50869#msg50869

Thanks

Sorry, I don’t understand what I must do.

I think the sa password is empty, but in avast4.ini under Management Tools, there’s a voice with a long random Password.

Can you help me

Try replacing the aswNeser.dll library and running the DebugView tool as described in that thread. It will show what went wrong…

Did this behavior start suddenly? Or does it behave like this from the beginning? (I.e. was it e.g. working properly yesterday?)

Ok, wait a minute. Thanks

Yestarday ADNM works fine.
This morning we installed another program with a db that works under MSDE, without modify any setting in MSDE.
In the last login in ADNM, I think I accidentaly remove sa password under File/Settings/SQL … but I’not sure.

Now the sa password is empty.

Hmmm, I see…
BTW what happpens if you start the AMS Maintentance Tool, and check Test DB? Does that work???

AMS Database is not compatible! (0x0000A410)

Here is my avast4.ini configuration under SQL part:

[SQL]
DBCreated=1
DataSource=SBS2003\avast
Catalog=avast
User=sa
Password=b?TlRZNU5kcXo=
ObjectsCreated=1
UserId=sa

There’s clearly a DB connection problem. :frowning:

There’s no solution for this at the moment. The AMS Tool will be soon updated to be able to change the DB connection details, but unfortunately, this is not possible with the current version… Sorry…

Anyway, I’m quite not sure how you managed to clear the password from the avast MSDE install… :wink:

If I reinstall ADNM and the restore the db from backup?

That should work I guess, provided you do have a backup.
