I’ve used .adultfriendfinder.com/ in WebShield’s URL blocking option to block that dreaded domain. However I was wondering if wild cards could be extended to *.friendfinder.com/ to block name variations such as filipinafriendfinder.com and other country-aimed ‘friendfinder’ sites?
Why not simply friendfinder.com/ ?
Friendfinder.com is a specific site on its own. But I did notice you left out the . (dot) after * (asterisk), is that my answer to what I’m seeking…or just a mistype?
The mask .adultfriendfinder.com/ does not cover filipinafriendfinder.com (since there’s no dot there). The mask without the initial dot does.
Terrific Igor thanks. I was showing my ignorance before but I’m learning.
Would I leave out http:// or is that the regular opening prefix?
If the mask starts with the asterisk (the “star”), you don’t need to have the http:// prefix there as it will fit in the leading *.
Otherwise, you do.
Got it Vlk, thanks. The URL blocking option is great.
I would like if I can see an export and import option to another ini file (besides avast4.ini one) and not the mdb file.
I would like to backup this options and not having to add them manually each time (new installation, etc.). 8)
