VirusTotal update, can now scan URL
http://www.virustotal.com/

When submitting a site with lots of programs and files, this can take a heck of a long time.
I just submitted http://68.35.72.131:4445/ which is the same as http://mysharedfiles.no-ip.org provided the IP address doesn’t change.

It’s been running for over 2 hrs…

i think they still work with the upgrade…have been very slow for the laste day`s

Oh cool!!
It’s out…Thank you for informing bob

yeah a few Chrome tabs crashed when trying that ;D may be the URL checker is infected ???

I too tried scanning a site, too slow. Took around 15 mins. The site although doesn’t have much files on it(I assume- because its a site which serves pdf exploit).

nmb

It is probably quite slow because the whole virus community is testing it…

I did get a report…but now I just get 502 errors…

The URL scan first checks against Firefox, Google Safebrowsing, Opera, Phishtank, Smartscreen and TRUSTe

Then it seems that you can check the site (or is it just because it was eicar) can be checked against the av scanners

But the service load is green?

nmb

Just refreshed VT…and the service load is high…

and the url check seems to have gone… ???

Yes,

Now I see. Service load got a red rating in few minutes difference? - May be they had not updated that indicator from a while.

nmb

Yes looks like they have withdrawn that neat function, for how long is the thing.

Hi DavidR,

VT went back to the old service now, no sign of the URL scanner,
for so long I use URLVoid…

polonus

I came back to the computer 8 hrs later and it was still “Submitting the URL provided”
8 hrs waisted unfortunately because it would have been nice to get their opinion.

VT is still moving as slow as molasses.
