Hi, I recently came across a url mal from avast. At first it appeared every 2-5 minutes, but now it shows up sporadically.
It would be great if I got some help to get rid of this. Thanks.
Windows 7 64 bit
Also aswMBR would not open for me after double clicking, in safe mode, changing its name, etc.
I will use a different tool to look at the MBR
[*] Download RogueKiller and save it on your desktop.
NOTE: If using IE8 or better Smartscreen Filter will need to be disabled
[*]Quit all programs
[*] Start RogueKiller.exe.
[*] Wait until Prescan has finished …
[*] Click on Scan

my computer recently underwent some updates and I redid the logs resulting in malwarebytes catching an infection this time, but I did not do anything to it though. here are the new files
here is a url mal screen
ttdskiller did not work after renaming it, safe mode, etc
Could you reboot your computer please, then immediately press and hold F8
On the menu that appears is there the option “Repair my Computer”
Also do you have a flash drive of at least 1Gb handy
unfortunately i dont :(, but i do have a sd card is that okay?
I somehow managed to get ttdskiller and aswMBR to work by reading another post on this forum and will attach the logs. However I forgot to get the log of the ttdskiller when it moved some viruses to my avast quarantine chest :(, so I will send a second scan of it and a picture of my avast quarantine chest.
Sorry for my error and thanks for the help again.
I also split the ttdskiller files in half to fit the size restriction if that is alright.
here is the second ttdskiller log and the avast chest picture
Out of curiosity how did you get TDSSKiller to work as that would be usefull information for me
Could you now run a fresh OTL scan for me selecting all users
here is the fresh otl log
I got ttdskiller and aswMBr by having two copies of it. After the first copy did not work I read how a guy managed to get it to work by downloading it again and so I tried it too. I had one existing copy on my desktop and I ran the other copy of it right out of my downloads folder and somehow it worked. ;D
Neat I never thought of trying that
How is the computer behaving now … Any problems ?
seems to be fine, Thanks! ![]()
Subject to no further problems ![]()
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean ![]()
A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:
Run OTL
[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
:Commands [resethosts] [emptytemp] [Reboot]
[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.
We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that
[*]Go to control panel
[*]Select folder options (Appearance > Folder options in category view)
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[]Click OK.
