URL:MAL svchost.exe infection

Hi, I been working on a computer and trying to get rid of this thing. I did run software before coming here and seeking an answer.
Malwarebytes did find a bunch of things that I deleted and thought I was rid of this thing. But each time I go on Chrome a new URL comes up saying avast caught the bad web site and did not allow it to run. this machine runs windows vista, up to date, Avast pro, up to date, Malwarebytes paid version up to date.
This person uses AOL (LOL) all the time and web surfs through AOL, emails through AOL, does everything through AOL. I use chrome when I use the computer.

I have not deleted Chrome and re-installed it yet and I wonder if AOL has the same problems of being redirected.

I have added the txt files.

Let me know if this stops the alerts

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

: Keep Java Updated :

WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

Hi, The computer has been up and running for a day now and no problems. I have been opening up var web sites and nothing is popping up in avast and the computer is running good.

I have bought malware byes and it is running, I also removed java 6 and disabled java 7. I was under the impression that a lot of web pages run java, any ways I will continue to see if there is any need for java.

Thanks for the link to unchecky, I will use that in all my machines. The other people who use this machine just click, click, click without even reading. Many times I have to delete all the toolbars they install. Can’t fix stupid !

I use Avast firewall and antivirus, so they should keep me protected. And I will read up on the links you gave.

Thank you for all your help. It is much appreciated.

Create a limited account for the other users and don’t let them install things.

Hi, The machine is still working perfect. Once again thank you for your help
