URL:MAL threat

About two weeks I downloaded a video codec for my computer. Which resulted in my computer being plagued with all kinds of adware including V9 and vostern or something like that. I cannot remember all the names.

All I know is, I keep having to reset my google chrome settings because the v9 search page seems to keep taking over it. Also, I get pop-ups on my computer telling me to update chrome and adobe flash, but the links don’t go to the google or adobe pages.

I have run a scan with avast and it quarrantined a lot of files. I have also run scans on malware bytes several times, installed and scanned with the google software removal tool, scanned with cc cleaner and windows defender.

Still, I keep getting pop-ups from Avast saying Url:mal threat detected. Sometimes this happens just once a day. On other occasions I’ll have about 12 alerts in the space of 10 minutes.

Please can someone help stop this from happening?

Try this…

Clear your browsers with AdwCleaner http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

Then run malwarebytes and remove evrything it find https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Post logs here…

Did that solve it?.. if not go back to second link. Scroll down to Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and run as instructed and attach the two diagnostic logs

I used adwcleaner earlier on after searching through another forum.

I have attached the log file for the malwarebytes scan I did after it. It did not clear it.

I have also attached the log files for the Farbar recovery scan.

Can someone please help?
