the removal tool i downloaded and ran prior to the last scan, is another program that will run, but it seems to fail after a few seconds. A windows command window appears, so i click run and it begins, but after a few seconds it finishes and quits automatically. I figured maybe it was because i downloaded the 64 bit version so i deciced to download the 32- removal tool. That application wont open just like the rest of them, i feel my only option is a complete wipe and restore of windows its very discouraging =/

You can repair windows 7 by doing what is called an inplace upgrade, this will retain all your data and programmes

As it stands I cannot see where the problem lies

thank you for all your help essex, you were extremely helpful. Its too bad my computer has had better years, lol. i have decided to backup all my most important data(which isnt much because i seem to get some sort of massive virus every few months) and have a buddy of mine, wipe the hard drive and start with a fresh slate. i just hope i can get him to make the drive to me as he lives about 3 hours east of me.

thank you for your help again and i will be sure to come back here as well as reccomend your help to any others that are having any issues

Sorry we could not fix it properly
