Slightly stressing here.
My partner has reported an Avast! alert on one of the sites we have built and maintain. The web address is impact-toys.com (adult site but no nudity or porn).
He is using the pro version of Avast! and is getting the alert on Firefox 23.0.1
I have opened the site in Chrome, Firefox and IE with no problems. I am also running an up-to-date Avast!, but the free version.
Most of the alerts have simply said that the entire URL is malicious, but a couple have pointed to favicon (which I have not set up for this site and at present I am not sure how to go about changing/disabling/fixing).
It is a Wordpress site hosted on Fasthosts if that is any help.
Sorry if I’ve not included any useful information, I’m not a technical expert and I don’t have copies of the alert reports to give more specific information.
We need this site safe and live as it is part of our livelihood.
Can anyone help? Is this a genuine alert or a false positive? If it is genuine, how do we start to fix it and get the site safe?
