URL malicisou warning by avast, need HELP/suggestions please!!

Hi,
Have a problem with recurrent warnings when using firefox(or explorer) and avanst blocking URL malicious site on multiple times with typical red box on bottom right of screen.

XP pro, latest firefox and avast free edition used.
The warning description of malicious site reads; ‘clikcpixelabn.com/BzzOr4op6m4ygo08dmVyPTMuOTMnv…’

I have run the avast complete system check, even run several others; adware, spybot and super antispyware to no avail. Another interesting process is the firefox on multiple occasions opening another window without doing so.

PLEASE, please help anyone. Want to getr rid of whatever this is to avoid any potential damage.

try this

TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer

TFC requires a reboot immediately after running. Be sure to save any unsaved work before running TFC.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always run update before you scan so you have the latest database
click on the remove selected button to quarantine anything found
you may post the scan log here

Many thanks, I will try your suggestion.

I had the same issue here: malware url detected at google’s search engine results. No removal tool worked here too, but the message stopped right after I’ve blocked third party cookies on my browsers.

Any ideas on this?

BTW, clikcpixelabn.com doesn’t open. Here’s the domain whois:

I’ve had all sorts of problems the last two weeks, it’s got so bad I ran boot-time virus scans twice, and nothing turned up. Yesterday, I started getting this clikcpixelabn.com thing; and I couldn’t shift it.

Somewhere else, someone suggested it might be a rootkit, and to try “hitman pro”. I’m not recommending it, I really couldn’t find out much about it, but I set a system restore point, and ran it. Touching wood, so far, the redirect problem seems to have gone away. It did claim to have found a rootkit virus; and it did claim to have cleaned it up.

Probably best if, in the next couple of weeks, I get a nice clean hard disk, and reinstall everything to that; and just use the old hard disk as an external drive until I’m happy everything’s eradicated.
