Asia is catching up, which is a bad sign. My mailwasher is making overtime.

We hate spam, don’t we folks?

Interesting, i thought it was china…

Hi RejZoR,

Because there is gigantic money involved. Why spam goes on and on, you can read here:

Siteadvisor is a way to avoid spam, but we have to wait until the time the larger part of the web is mapped. Download this add-on here: http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/ff.html (firefox, flock or IE); works on Google search results page Yahoo search results page. and MSN search results page.

Don’t have problems with spam (GMail), but i thought china has the biggest share of spammers. It’s then most probably not far behind US…

Hmmm… I read it was China now.

Hi Negeltu,

It is just about what sources, you quote. The ranking I referred to was Sophos’s, but here you can read to the contrary this:

So, who is spamming who there?

I guess I just don’t get so worked up about spam. I have more important things in life to cope with than to allow my body to go through a stress response and release body-damaging chemicals over emails. I use Mozilla Thunderbird and it’s spam filter catches almost every piece of spam email that I get. That includes mail from hotmail, yahoo and my email through my hosting provider. It is rare that a piece of spam enter my inbox that doesn’t go straight to my junk folder. Whereas if I were to sign on to hotmail my inbox would be full of spam mail even though my junk filter is set there. I really recommend people use Thunderbird as their email client. If you have hotmail or other web based email Thunderbird has web mail plugin that works wonderfully.
