A stupid practical question. I’m buying a new laptop and it has two USB 3.0 ports. If I connect my regular (USB 2.0) external keyboard and mouse to the 3.0 ports - will it work this way as if I’d connect them to USB 2.0 ports? I guess the answer is yes, but am asking to be 100% sure. Thanx.
Yes, you should be fine.
Just as 1.0 and 1.1 worked with 2.0, all’s well. The speed will be at the original rate, not 3.0.
