After I installed Avast, I discovered that i could not print neither make use of my camera (video and sound), they are said as not connected. I went through all Avast menus but i did not find anything that may help me: I am a normal user, not an IT person and thus I don’t know what and where to change, adjust…
But I can view and open the files from my USB Key!
Also, I do not see anymore the green sign in the right corner of my screen on which i use to click on before I remove my USB key.
I have Windows XP up top date, Avast Familial version 4.8, and Windows firewall is disconnected.
May you please help me, I really need to print and Skype…

Did you have any other antivirus on your computer before installing avast? and how did you remove it?. Try uninstaling avast & see if the usb remove icon in the tray(right hand corner appears again) on my computer avast sometimes interferes with the tray icons for my printer epson stylus!. Under program settings turned off defense module and delay services under troubleshooting returned it back on again cured my trouble! icons now back. Avast has not caused any more trouble and is detecting on the fly viruses :
You shouldn’t disable Windows Firewall, there is no reason for that.
Did you have any other antivirus before avast?
