Useless gibberish in my Gmail emails

Dear Avast,
I don’t know what’s going on with the Avast Secure Browser. A month ago, everything worked perfectly fine.

But when I updated the Avast Secure Browser two weeks ago, the build in ad blocker stopped working completely. It was annoying at first but I eventually solved the problem by installing uBlock origin. (Heck, I don’t mind, now that I have uBlock origin installed, I can finally block those annoying videos and these fifty thousand ads from those Wikia sites. It’s so satisfying!)

But I’ve updated the Avast Secure Browser just now, and the first thing I notice, whenever I send an email in Gmail (I use the simplified html mode in Gmail in case that’s relevant to the issue) Avast Secure Browser pad each and every single of the email I send with a wall of punctuation and html tags like this:

Garanti sans virus. www.avast.com

I just want to send clean emails, I don’t want to send emails riddled with gibberish or links to Avast website. Of course whenever I type an email I can go in the advanced option and remove this wall of gibberish manually before sending the email but I shouldn’t have to go through extra steps because someone decided it would be a good idea to add extra padding to every email I send.

Can you fix this in the next update?

I did some extra testing:

If I send an email using Gmail’s standard interface, an extra “No Virus” signature is added to my email.

If I send an email using Gmail’s simplified HTML interface, no extra signature is added to my email.

It gets more complicated when I reply to an email using Gmail’s simplified HTML interface. I got the HTML tags signature to show up when I turned on the “Include previous messages” option, and I made it disappear when I turned off the “Include previous messages” option, but while I was retesting just to be certain, I couldn’t manage to get the HTML tags signature to show up. So I’m at a loss for words.

I’d say if you can, keep the signature when an email is sent in Gmail’s standard mode but leave the signature out from Gmail’s simplified HTML mode because the signature does not render properly in that mode.
