User intereface too large for laptop and blocks Settings button

Avast’s new user interface is too large to fit on my laptop screen even with maximum resolution and as a result the Settings button can not be accessed as it is hidden below the taskbar and even below the screen. User interface can not be pulled upwards outside the screen, only sideways, so the Settings are utterly inaccessible.

By the way, this is a clear bug, so I don’t understand why I shouldn’t be able to report it. After all, the fact that I don’t pay doesn’t mean I can help them remove bugs.

This is a bug that has been acknowledged and should feature in an update soon.

There are several topics about this already, along with how to access the Settings screen. Right click the avast tray icon and select about avast, this is essentially the settings screen.

Strange. I searched for a solution, before posting here. Anyway, the replies offered workarounds, so thank you, and I consider this issue closed.

It’ll be closed “solved” once Avast fixes the problem.

You’re welcome, hopefully the fix won’t be too long.
