Using Avast on Offline Windows NT/Windows 2000 computers

Hello, ;D

I want to use Avast on Windows NT/Windows 2000 computers.
The computers are in an offline environment (disconnected from the Internet).

What Avast products/versions would work?

Thank you!

That would be V8.0.1497 - no idea where to download it, though.

If by Windows NT you mean Windows NT 4.0, then the last version supporting those was Avast 4.8… which has been retired, it doesn’t receive virus definition updates anymore.
Avast 8.x should support Windows 2000 SP4 update rollup 1 (that’s a requirement, nothing older would work for sure)… at least theoretically.

@ Igor,

Now we/Avast have gone down the track of redundancy for old OS versions, which now spans many versions of Avast.

Is there any possibility of making old versions of Avast available on the official Avast.com (where the virus definitions are still supported as you mentioned) ?

Currently users have to trawl many of the file download services (filehippo, etc.), many of which just serve up the latest version or the small on-line installation stub installer.

Hello suzukisuzc!

And this is the “practical confirmation”: Avast Free V8.0.1497 is working here on Windows 2000 SP4 update rollup 1.
The Pro version should be compatible too (if you find a download source).

I would appreciate it too when I get the “legacy” Free Versions direct from Avast Homepage. 8)
