Using Avast Premium Security with Outlook

Hello Community,

Would like to know why Avast Premium Security does not have some sort of add-in in order to work in conjunction with Outlook 365 (classic)? Despite having the E-Mail Guardian set up to monitor my AOL Mail which is usually checked/read via a web browser only, I mostly use Outlook 365 (classic) app on my Win11 Desktop PC to get my AOL (verizon mail) mail via POP3 but I still get spam/phishing e-mails which I then manually have to move to the junk folder or create a rule in Outlook to automatically delete the offending sender’s mail. But I would have thought that e-mail guardian would look and stop most of these spam mails before I get them in my Outlook inbox (again not Outlook Web, but my desktop Outlook 365 Classic). So it seems to not work as advertised :frowning: So I was thinking there should be some sort of Outlook Add-In for Avast but I do not see any in File>>Options>>Add-Ins or even when I look in “Manage: COM Add-ins”. So is this just not going to work as far as Outlook with Avast Prem Security? You would think there should be some add-in to help block or at least report spam.. Or is anyone aware of some other app that works with Outlook to report or block spam/phishing e-mails? At least with Outlook 365 Classic for my other mail account which is an Outlook Exchange address, I do see a “Report” button in the ribbon, but not for POP mail accounts.

Thanks!

MJ

Spam filter was removed from Avast some years ago, stating ISP’s spam filtering would be enough for this age.
Outlook plug-ins also was removed, maybe a year ago. The plug-in was for Outlook 2016 (i.e. MS Office suite) so I don’t know it’ll work on latest Outlook 365 classic app.
