Using Avast Safe Browser without installing Avast

I have a license for Avast Internet Security but for the time being I don’t want to install it. What I would like though is to be able to use the Avast Safe Browser and the Password Vault only, just the 2 features. Is this possible, can they be downloaded individually?

To be honest, no idea. Never tried that.

I suggest that you do a custom install of the free version and select only the Components you want.

I’ll tell you what I did. I have 3 licenses So I went to my wife’s computer and copied the contents of SZBrowser onto a pendrive.
On my computer I then created the folder c:\Program Files\AVAST Software and copied the SZBrower folder off the pendrive into the AVAST Software folder. I then double clicked on launcher.exe file and it worked, did not ask for any activation code, nothing, it just worked. What doesn’t work is Avast Passwords, it say it needs to be activated. It probably was not activated on my wife’s computer. So I’m thinking that I may have to repeat the whole process activating Avast Passwords before I start on ny wife’s computer. Apart from that it’s OK I configured a start page and put various shortcuts on the bookmarks bar. What do you think Asyn?
