USYNC.NEXAGE.COM Survives a system reset :/

Hi All,

I’ve had this annoying malware for quite a while.
What do you want to do with mapuser?providerid=…(345 bytes)? From: usync.nexage.com

Does not matter which web page. It will eventually pop up. It will not allow you to close Edge as it has a pop-up saying
Hey, your files are still downloading…You might lose them if you close the browser.

Avast is oblivious to it. MalwareBites also does not detect it. So I decided to do a system reset, including a complete wipe of the system partition.

With a new, clean install of Windows 10, on the first launch of Edge, the usync.nexage.com pop-ups returned within one minute.

Can anybody shed light on where this originates? Did it infect the Windows restore partition?

Any assistance is appreciated.
