Built-in HTTPS scanning without MITM certificate

How is this possible?

I rather doubt that they would divulge this in any detail as it would probably be business in confidence. And possibly give others ideas.

Shows this when manually checking for Program update always on Beta 3, on XP Laptop SP3 System, and also Windows 10 Desktop build 10240, hit the free one, and then it says Already up to date…Happens the most when right click tray Icon, and select Program update

@ Patrick2,
You aren’t alone…

Hi Martin, and Avast ( Beta ) Team

I am sorry I was not active the last few weeks, but I will pick up Beta testing ( again ) the upcomming weekend.

Greetz, Red.

Beta 3 is still working really well for me under Windows 10. Apart from the network scanning bug which was fixed, I’ve had no other problems. I experienced a slowdown caused by Avast only once in the last two weeks (and I use my laptop for many hours a day, every day). The rest of the time, unless I’m running a scan, I never notice any slowdowns caused by Avast.

However, I no doubt will uninstall it soon, due to issue I’ve previously mentioned, where there is no option to add a detected file to the ignore list. I guess for most people, this will be no big deal. But, for me it’s a huge issue. It’s a shame, as apart from this, in my opinion Avast is brilliant.

For me this bug still occur:
