V2016 Beta 4 (2016.11.1.2237)

nice UI, Update seems great
And well forgot my “passwords” password | any way not using it so not an issue.

No new features for free user we are expect more from Avast! team.Only new UI? :frowning:

I haven’t participated in the last three betas but I really love what you’ve done with the UI. One important thing is missing, will you add the ability to initiate a scan and other commands via My Avast portal? I mean it’d be awesome to have more control on PCs linked to your Avast portal.

You’re getting excellent protection. What else do you want for Free. ???

Only Phishing report(Manually)tab on avast! GUI

Personally I wouldn’t call this a new UI, given that only the style of the home page has changed. Look and layout of the rest is 2015 UI, so I can’t see the point of changing one page, it adds nothing to make the UI more intuitive/accessible.

Still can’t “sign-in” via the GUI. ???

No problem here ???

Home Network scanning has finally been fixed (both scans — YEAH!!!).
BUT
Disabling shields (via right click on tray icon) resulted in total lock up of system; had to do a power down and boot into Safe Mode to remove. Will try again with next build.

About Home Network Security: I think this is not correct (see image).
Why “Secured” while detecting something bad?

One message is in regard to your home network,
the other refers to you router.
Your router is probably still set to use the default user name and password.

I know about it, I just thought my router was a part of my home network. It seems not in avast. :-X

working great hope to have the new official version of avast 2016 thanks for the great work

I agree with NON. Would be nice if there were detailed reasons for the decisions the scanner makes.

Can anyone tells me when will Avast supports 64-bits Firefox as Mozilla is going to send their their first offical 64-bits version of Firefox in next few days!!!

What makes you think Avast isn’t going to work with the 64 bit version of Firefox ???

It is certainly a good question as previously Pale Moon, a 64bit version of firefox was unsupported, but I don’t know if that is sill the case.

Pale Moon is an Open Source, Firefox-based web browser available for Microsoft Windows and Linux, focusing on efficiency and ease of use.

Thanks for letting us now about the FF 64bit. We will add it in next version.

Mozilla has 64-bit firefox in its ftp server for download for months (I don’t remember starting from which version).
She kept all versions as beta and never release the final…just the final
Avast add-on has worked fine with 32-bits firefox but not with 64-bit as I known and tried myself.
Today, Mozilla released a candidate copy of 64-bit version 42 and they have never did before.
So, I think Mozilla is going to start release offical copy of 64-bit firefox.
If my experience with 64-bit version is correct, then Avast has to do something…

Just updated on build 2238 via the GUI, waiting for changelog ::slight_smile:
