V5 is converting html - plain text??

I use a business card with my MS Outlook 07 html emails with (vista). v5 unlilke v4, is converting the html to plain text and removing my business card on outbound mail and also converts to plain text my inbound mail. Is it possible to at least send in html and not have my business card removed or placed as an attachment? If i turn off scanning it still removes the card.

Have you checked the email (scanner) settings in avast?

Have you told avast to insert the “notes” into messages?
Also, are you using the latest version of avast (5.0.462)?

Using v5.o.418 “insert notes” checked, “scan inbound / scan outbound” checked.

Then I suggest that you update and get the latest version as there were some fixes related to MS Outlook and the avast Mail Shield (plug-in).

DavidR Thankyou. That worked like a charm. No more problem with outlook. I just updated from V4 to V5 a week or so ago so I didn’t know there was another update and thought Avast would maybe update auto. I will have to check for updates occassionaly. Thanks again!

Program updates are set to Ask, so perhaps you missed it, the main thing is that the problem is resolved.
