V6 conversion key

Hi,

Had to replace the HD on my laptop :frowning: so now installing all programs. My old license key will not work and when i try to convert it faisl to supply a new key.
Is thsi a known problem

Please provide futher information so we can provide pertinent suggestions on your problem.
What version/product of Avast are you using?
What OS are you running?
Have you contacted Avast support?
Also you may want to hide your email from the public. Avoid spam. :wink:
Go to Profile, Account related settings, and checkbox “hide my email from the public”.

Thanks for the advice.
What I am running is Avast 4.8 on 3yr license.
Installed the latest Avast pro on my new Hd in the laptop but it then says I should appy for a conversion to V6.
When I do this by adding in my old license the website seems to freeze.
My OS is Win7 64 bit

is this where you are trying to get the conversion ?

  • avast! 5 Pro license convert from 4.8 Pro license. Try http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php now, fill in the form giving your email and 4.8 Pro License key and they will send the new license file to you (presumably it will check you have a legit 4.8 Pro license first).

Thought this mentions an avast5 pro license that should work with avast 6.
