Hello, I have an Avast Internet Security subscription. It’s automatically renewed. I’ve used the same cards I’ve used in the past. The cards are valid, but the payment failed. My bank says everything is fine. What can I do?
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Who did you purchase Avast through ?
The reason I ask as one of the big companies that used to sell Avast (and other programs) Subscriptions has filed for bankruptcy. So any payment arrangement through them would fail.
Thank for your answer. I paied to figital river, which is the company italian users pay Avast subscriptions
Digital River is the company that DavidR mentioned as being reported to have failed and from my websearches appears to be in bankruptcy/liquidation.
I think Avast should provide some advice to those who have automatic subscription mandates through Digital River. I assume they have migrated to other payment platform/s.
Note I am not an Avast team member, just another user.
Ok. Thank you very much
We are talking about this topic, even if it is a PayPal payment, the common denominator is payment via Digital River, which went bankrupt last May.
For the moment, avast has not communicated anything about this and has not made any changes to our online accounts to modify our payment information.
Perhaps you could try contacting them via support if it is urgent?
I have had this problem for many years with Discover, especially at Walmart. All Avast has to do is run the card again later, on a different card reader, or the next day.
Thank you for yor answer
But there is no way to contact avast support. When you reply to their email the rasponse is “no one reads messages”. There is no another email. In my case there have been two unsuccessful attempts to pay via PayPal in the last week. Everything is fine with the card and bank acc. I don’t know what to do?
