Am trying to update but it doesn’t work. Am using Windows 7 now

Some things to check:
-Your computer system date and time
-The license key has been entered
-Your firewall isn’t blocking it.
Let us know if any of those help.
Please, post the last 300-350 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log
System time and date is okay as it sync to our PDC. I beleive there is no issue with the licence as this same package is installed on other OS - XP and works perfectly with the updates
As for the log file there is no setup log file on that location : C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log
