VBS:Malware[Gen]

I ran a thorough scan using Avast and it said I had a file infected with VBS:Malware[Gen]. I clicked on the button to repair and that did not work. I moved the file to the chest. How do I remove or repair the file.

I’m running Windows 98. The infected file was C:Windows/reg.reg.

I’m quite sure that no reg.reg file should be in Windows folder. The whole file is a malware body, i.e. there’s no “repair” available - you can simply delete it.

Just delete the file with Avast! you cant repair such a files!!
