VBS.Redlof: Can't do anything about it... HELP!

Hi everyone,

I’m a novice user of computer and recently downloaded avast! 4 Home Edition. I’m happy with the antivirus software but here’s my problem.

The scan detected a lot of files, approximately 600, containing the VBS.Redlof virus. However, the software was unable to either delete the files or even rename / move into the chest. The reason quoted was Access Denied.

??? :‘( :’(

I am very perplexed and I don’t know what to do… besides I’m not a techie and I’m afraid I might do more harm to the computer… Could someone kindly help me… if possible the explaination be in laymen’s terms as I’m no techie…

Thank you in advance… your help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so Avast was not able to remove them on detection. Did you select ‘remove tehm at next start’? If not try it. This should make avast remove them when you reboot your system.

Thanks Artras… I’ll try it! and if it doesn’t work I’ll let you know…
Thanks a million again… n God Bless You!
