I got alarms from avast about a virus on my pc; avast log shows the following:

30/10/2004 22:46:07 AUTORITE NT\SYSTEM 1628 Sign of “VBS:Trojano-436 [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Documents and Settings\hombre\Application Data\Opera\download files\profile\cache4\opr02IJ6.htm” file.
30/10/2004 22:51:11 AUTORITE NT\SYSTEM 1628 Sign of “VBS:Trojano-436 [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Documents and Settings\hombre\Application Data\Opera\download files\profile\cache4\opr02IA4.htm” file.
2/11/2004 3:31:56 AUTORITE NT\SYSTEM 1624 Sign of “VBS:Trojano-436 [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Documents and Settings\hombre\Application Data\Opera\download files\profile\cache4\opr02M2S.htm” file.
2/11/2004 3:36:05 AUTORITE NT\SYSTEM 1624 Sign of “VBS:Trojano-436 [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Documents and Settings\hombre\Application Data\Opera\download files\profile\cache4\opr02KSX.htm” file.

What to do. I didn’t try to repair or to move to the chest and can’t find the files on my disk. Do I have to switch system restauration off and reboot?

Empty Opera’s cache en stop visiting malicious websites. That will solve it.

thanks for your answer Eddy; i’d already emptied opera’s cache. malicious websites? You knows that this pests are everyhere…

But my question remains: how do I access to this apparently infected files?

If you cleared your browsers cache, they are gone, so you won’t find them or be able to access them.

Confirm this by running another scan

What does it do to my computer? How harmful is it??

Lotus,

Every malware is harmfull.

What files(s) is infected?
What is their location?
What have you tried sofar to get it of the system?
Have you used the search function on this board? (many threads will tell you what to do)

I hijacked it and fix checked some of the files and deleted it in safe mode. My comp doesnt appear yet there’s something wrong. I forgot which folder the trojan was because i deleted as soon as i saw it in my avast scanboot. Stupid done , i know!!

Now i have another prob. got the win32.trojano-324

Dunno what to do with it It’s in my c:\programfiles\common files]GMT

JUST typical…
My machine just got infected with the trj 436 and I just can´t get rid off it…
I´ve running XP and just shutted down the remake, or what it is called, run my antivirus(avast) but it still tells me that there is a virus but it can´t remove, repair it or even delete it…
Or rather that is not quit true… It deletes some of the infected files but some remain… ANd it is located in the dir called

c:\documents and settings\my name\local settings\temperary internet files\contentIE5.1\dqvl1g3l\ind(1).js\ind(1)

Infection vbs:tjojano-436(trj)

error occured during deleting. This function …

CAN I get rid off this buck somehow??
AND I got to admit… I´m no computer wiz :S

Mabey you want to try deleting your temp interet files from in da internet explorer optionsm how this helps…
