i am kinda fed up of having an american sounding guy tell me that my virus data base has been updated.
how about avast providing a selection, for the user to download else the install would be huge, of different voices, both male and female and different dialecs…?

and also if i simply made my own and named it the same as the sound file at the moment, would that cause any problems?

In fact this is perfectly legal and supported. avast → Settings → Sounds. Clicking the button will open the Control Panel Sound applet in which (on the second page) you can change the individual sounds. It’s even described in the help file.

agree with the above. wouldnt mind a female voice either. No offence to who ever made the other sounds, they are good but dont really float my boat!

fancy making some sexy female voices? ;D
